dilemma of cropped proportions

source: blackberry camera

I've been considering buying this furry mongolian wool jacket for the last 3 weeks or so. I'm not sure if that means I should get it or that I should stop thinking about it. Everything about it is amazing (including the price tag) except for the fact that it's cropped. Not necessarily a bad thing, but cropped just under my boob is not good. I have a short torso so I can't even imagine where this stops on adequately-heighted individuals? maybe it's just an underarm warmer for them.. who knows, I'm too scared to find out. The impracticality just kills me inside.. its so warm, what on earth would you wear underneath it to keep the remaining body parts warm.. without having your arms sweat away? I still want it. BADLY. I go to the store to try it on and convince myself heey it probably wasn't that short, I was probably being picky, leaving every time shaking my fist at how poorly thought out this idea was. some body killed a lamb, and it's not even going to be wearable. that's a whole different slice of pie however.. opinions on this hideously beautiful piece of clothing??

  2. I can't really see it, but this photo looks like Mary-Kate, if that seals the deal for you. :)

  3. My theory is if I sleep on it and it's still calling my name the next day, it's mine. As long as it's reasonably priced.

  4. You could wear a maxi bandeau dress, so the coat keeps your arms warm and the dress will keep the rest of your body warm, wear it with some tights and boots and go grunge!
I would definatly buy it :) xx

  6. Do it. I'm sure you'll find a way to wear it!! My suggestion would be to wear some kind of thermal singlet under everything that is cut away from the chest and shoulders so that you're not doubling the warmth and getting sweaty...?
