home maintenance

source: my 450D, featuring; zimmerman silk and embroidery blouse, forever new floral jumpsuit, my "Lady gaga" dress from Empire on Oxford St.

loved ones think I've lost the plot (just a little) I'm using my day off for a massive wardrobe clean out, which I've realised must be done more than 4 times a year due to my gradual change in clothes buying. I'm not really sure if I'm buying less or more, but I'm generally happier with the clothes and the rate at which my money is fleeting (Topshop newsletters with new things I can't get in Sydney you aren't helping!!) well not happy, but happier, I don't think anyone can really be happy with fleeting money. Its probably due to a myriad of reasons like a new job, a few lovely influences in my life right now, and being a total cheapass saving for my winter holiday. It's all good and well, I don't feel bad cleaning out things which still make me smile, but running out of room to hang things (and hangers, my favourite ones keep the shape of clothes well but cost like 3$ each at Freedom) is not something to be taken lightly.. my wardrobe is pretty damn enormous, having shoes fall on my head and hit me in the face in a not so attractive way isn't a good day to start a morning. Good thing is finding things I've long forgotten about and having one of those moments where you realise how well it'll go with something you bought recently. If only I could bottle and sell that feeling.

And just in case you're wondering I don't actually keep my clothes hanging of the curtain railing, although I do leave them there sometimes, from the night before so I make a super busy morning a little more bearable

  1. i feel your pain- my closest desperately needs a good cleaning. my already enormous wardrobe is growing too fast, and it's kind of depressing.

  2. Wardrobe cleanout is always good - I can't believe your loved ones think you're crazy! I'm always being hassled by my parents to lighten the load, and my friends to lighten the load in their direction..

  17. Next I've picked out Dennis Violet who played for the reds of Manchester in no fewer than 291 games during the Busby Babes period. Violet amassed 178 goals and was one of the lucky players that didn't perish in the Munich disaster. manchester united manchester united As a tribute to United’s nationwide popularity, the club has held the record for the highest average attendance in English football for over 34 years. The only time they did not hold the record was during the 1987-89 period when the Old Trafford stadium was being renovated. In some circles, it is believed that the Manchester United Red Devils are the most widely supported football club in the world. carrick The current home games Manchester United shirt is red with a vertical, white stripe on the reverse. A patch with the words "The Red Devils" on a picture of the club's famous devil mascot is sewn onto to the bottom-left of the jersey. By contrast, the away shirt in use today is white with blue piping at the edges. It has red trim on the neck and the club emblem is on a white background on the left breast. The club emblem is pictured on a white background shield situated on the left breast. The emblem has been altered through the years but was originally designed based on the crest of the City of Manchester. One day Matt Busby was watching a local rugby team in Salford and was impressed by their flair and adventure on the pitch. When he discovered their nickname was "The Red Devils" he decided to attach it to his Manchester United team.

  19. So I went ahead and splurged -- bought myself a Fatman iTube Carbon 2 and I've gotta tell ya I am extremely pleased. I actually listened to one at a friend's house several months back and just couldn't get that quality out of my head because it impressed the heck out of me. I searched everywhere for a great deal and finally found it at Ordio in Westfield Bondi Junction. I called them first and asked a bunch of questions and everything was answered to my satisfaction so I went ahead and bought it. Dispatch was fast. Everything was perfect. I'm pretty darn happy and I'm playing it right now. Not sure if they dispatch outside of Oz but you won't be sorry if they do.

Best accessory I could have bought...
