my small but ever growing collection. as you can probably already tell, i really like a heavy gold, leather and antique-y looking things. i wear my jewellery until it falls apart, then ill glue it together and wear it some more. on the odd occasion when i buy really cheap costume jewellery from diva or sportsgirl, i give it a coat with a clear nail polish (usually rings and bracelets, sometimes skinny chains) and it saves it from rusting until the coat peels of and i forget to put on another. even cheapie clear is fine, the cheaper the better i say, doesn't ruin the crap brass its already made from (to my own knowledge, i've never studied chemistry outside what i need for my degree). that's probably the best jewellery tip i have, besides packing away all expensive jewellery so that it doesn't get damaged or exposed to the environment. I learnt the hard way when i took my beloved cc skye double wrap up to the gold coast with me and didn't bring the protective bag. my hotel was right on the beach, you could actually smell the salt, needless to say the vermeil gold coating turned a dull silver in places. i still wear it but it really kills me. the oldest piece is my mum's silver cats eye ring, it didn't come out very well in the photo sadly, but it is a dark silver, with little bow details around it. its too big for my fingers lately so i just wear it as a pendant.
Thanks for getting back to me, I NEED the legend ring in my collection too.

i coat my cheap jewelry pieces with clear polish too! i just hate it that i'm to acidic to wear the cheap stuff. sometimes, the less expensive trinkets have better designs. i definitely can't afford the costume gold jewelry.
